Bringing Daisy & Gus to life

Creators Adam Percival and Matthew Wild first met at high school, where a friendship began that has lasted well beyond the classroom.

Years later, as both became dads, they found themselves asking the same question: why was it so hard to find gentle, funny, truly wholesome content for their young kids?

They weren’t looking for flashy screens or overstimulation — they wanted stories that celebrated the magic of everyday family life: the silly moments, the quiet wins, and the small adventures children treasure.

That question became the spark for Daisy & Gus.

They acted on their idea and began developing their first pilot episode, Don’t Feed the Seagulls!

Beloved character designer Beth Harvey (of Bluey) brought the world of Daisy & Gus to life, creating the original character designs and storyboards that shaped the very first animatic.

Adam and Matt continue to work toward bringing Daisy & Gus to the screen, and in the meantime are adapting their stories into beautifully illustrated picture books with the help of the incredibly talented Cayleen Bester.
